40 Days in Christ: Knowing and Living Your Transformed Identity in ChristSample
Your High Status in God’s Kingdom
Imagine you are at a regal ceremony like one of the celebrations involving the royal family of England, and you are seated in a really important spot close to the king. How special would you feel?
Ephesians 2:6 says it is like that for you as a believer— you are not just lifted but also sitting with Christ in a heavenly place. This heavenly sitting arrangement isn’t just a change in your importance or status but being part of an extraordinary world of honor and power, where your identity is connected to a heavenly position beyond everyday problems. It places you in a realm of glory and authority, aligning your identity with an exalted position above the limitations of your earthly circumstances.
In this heavenly position in Christ, God wants you to see your importance in his plans. You are part of something special. Your connection with Christ has transformed and translated you to a place where you can share the incredible authority and power of being a believer. You now have a new way of looking at things from this vantage point.
This heavenly way of looking at things changes how you see yourself, giving you confidence in your high status with Christ, way above the worries and concerns of the world and all the devil’s hosts. You are seated in the highest place of authority in the universe, so start exercising this authority daily in all your earthly affairs.
