You are the children of the LORD your God. … He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.

The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD

I myself said, “How gladly would I treat you like sons and give you a desirable land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation.” I thought you would call me “Father” and not turn away from following me.

I will say to the north, “Give them up!” and to the south, “Do not hold them back.” Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.

Be silent, O Israel, and listen! You have now become the people of the LORD your God. Obey the LORD your God and follow his commands and decrees.

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. … Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. … They will be called ‘sons of the living God.’
