Parables - Wisdom for LifeSample

Jesus is probably the best person to answer the question, “How do I pray?” Jesus taught that prayer doesn’t have to be long-winded; it doesn’t need to be a show of who can use the longest words or pray the loudest. You should pray simply and honestly, focusing on God, not yourself. There’s no special formula; it’s easy. God loves you, and He’s listening. Jesus taught His followers how to pray, which we find in Matthew 6. In this prayer, we see that Jesus is intent on seeing God’s kingdom reign in the lives of His people. Bringing His kingdom to earth gives us glimpses of what eternal life with Him in heaven is like.
The parables Jesus told also give us an idea of what this kingdom is like. The kingdom of God is within each one of us when Jesus is the king of our hearts. You can’t see it, you can’t touch it, but it is ever so real and is like a valuable treasure within us!
The kingdom of God might have started with a small group of people, Jesus and His disciples. Like a mustard seed, it has grown big! The best part is that you have a place in God’s kingdom. You belong to the kingdom of God.
