Serving as a FriendSample

Different ways to serve
God created each of us uniquely, with different abilities and talents, and this diversity extends to the ways we can serve others. There are countless ways to make a difference - some might feel called to give generously, others to build, teach, or support local schools and churches. My personal calling is to help feed the homeless. Coming from a country where poverty and hunger are significant issues, I've always been drawn to community service that addresses these challenges. Seeing someone go hungry deeply affects me.
This focus on feeding the needy aligns with a powerful directive Jesus gave to Peter: "Feed My Sheep." This wasn't a casual remark; He repeated it three times, emphasizing its significance. The command goes beyond the physical act of providing food—it's also about nourishing the soul. Serving others, then, becomes a holistic act of care that attends to both the body and the spirit.
A couple of years ago, I started Food4Brothers, an organization that's more of a movement than a charity. It operates on the principle that “If everybody feeds one, we feed millions”. This is both our motto and mission. But everyone has their own unique calling. What's crucial is that you're engaging with the teachings and example of Jesus. He assisted people in numerous ways, and following in his footsteps means finding your own path to serve, in whatever form that takes.
