What Jesus Said About Confession of SinSample

Jesus said Forgiveness is Available for All
In Luke 24:47, Jesus said, In His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.
What a remarkable verse: our sins can be forgiven!
Guidelines for those who struggle to know that they are forgiven after they have confessed their sins.
In 1 John 1:9 the apostle John says: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is why Jesus came to Earth – He washed away our sins with His Blood and reconciled us with God the Father. We read in 2 Corinthians 5:18: All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ. Jesus came to reconcile us with God. What Jesus did for us on the Cross, was a Sacrifice that will set us free from sin.
There is, however, a condition. We need to accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour: But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
