Journaling Through LentSample

Renewal of Relationships
Today, let us focus on renewing our relationships. Somehow, maintaining peace in relationships is always the most tricky thing. Perhaps it’s because we’re all human and broken - when we come together, it’s not easy to get along and love each other as Christ has loved us. Someone said, “Hurt people hurt people,” and that’s so true. We all carry offenses or bitterness from relationships that didn’t pan out how we expected them to.
Take time to reflect on some relationships that you’re struggling with today. What are some reasons you find it difficult to love and bear with this person or persons in your life? How have they grieved you? As you reflect on this, ask the Holy Spirit to help you release forgiveness to them. Ask Him to guide your interactions, bringing renewal and healing to your connections.
Journaling Prompt:
Illustrate the restoration of relationships. Use colors and symbols that convey the unity and love that come from practicing forgiveness and compassion.

About this Plan

This 40-day Lenten devotional will help you meditate on the themes of Repentance, Renewal, Remembrance, and Remission in the lead-up to Easter. Each day, you will focus on one theme, meditate on a portion of Scripture, and use a journaling prompt to encourage you to internalize what God is saying by expressing yourself through the creative art of journaling.
