God’s Charge to Believers
"That God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God". - 2 Corinthians 5:19
A most important part of the life God has designed for us as believers is acting as Christ’s ambassadors and spreading the message of salvation. The framework for this is set out in Ephesians 4:11, wherein the Apostle Paul outlines the offices of the five-fold ministry –Apostle, Pastor, Prophet, Teacher, and Evangelist. These roles are there to equip all believers to carry out the charge of reconciliation.
Whilst not all believers will function in all or any of these roles, all believers have been entrusted with the ministry of spreading the gospel; the good news that Christ died for everyone, that all our sins are forgiven, that God is not mad at us but madly in love with us, and that He longs to be reconciled with all of humankind.
We are God’s vessels and His mouthpiece here on earth. Is that not amazing? No special ordination is required! God makes us worthy to spread the good news as soon as we believe in Christ and in His finished work.

About this Plan

The life of a believer is in itself a form of ministry and every part of it should express this. Regardless of how dire situations may appear, God gives every believer the capacity to deliver the message of reconciliation.
