I AMSample

I AM the Good Shepherd.
We’re going to be talking more about sheep today.
What if I told you that sheep know the voice of their shepherd? It’s true! Google it! If someone else tries to call a herd of sheep who isn’t their normal shepherd, they won’t react!
Someone is leading you. Someone is your shepherd. You’re following someone’s “voice”. It could be your friends, it could be someone on TikTok or Instagram, it could be a parent.
But the voice you follow determines the actions you take.
In today’s passage we are going to read how voices serve different purposes in our lives.
Some voices distract us. Things like our friends, our relationships, our phones, social media. These things aren’t inherently “evil”, they just aren’t always good. And they easily can distract us.
Some voices destroy us. Think about the way you talk to yourself. Or words in your life that tear you down. Where do they come from? Are there narratives you’re believing about yourself (or your life) that aren’t true?
But only one voice directs us. God’s voice. God’s intentions are always for the best. He’s the only voice you can always trust in all things.

About this Plan

Who is Jesus? We get a glimpse into that answer through studying some of the I AM statements that Jesus makes throughout the Gospels. Through understanding the I AM statements, we come to know Jesus as the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, our Savior.
