And It Was GoodSample

What do you think of when you hear the words “scepter of justice?” I picture Ariel’s dad, King Triton, in The Little Mermaid, sitting on his seashell throne with his gold scepter—the image of a powerful ruler that no one can conquer.
Psalm 46:5 tells us that God is on the throne and rules with a scepter of justice. This means that God will judge with ultimate power over all creation. It also means God will never be defeated. So, no matter how much chaos ensues, we can rest assured that God has victory over everything. There will come a day when we no longer suffer the injustices of this world but will live in true peace if we trust God.
Today, take a moment to reflect on the question, “What does God’s power mean to me?”
