Red Flags, Respect, & RelationshipsSample

We all have expectations for the kind of person we hope to be in a relationship with, whether that’s now or in the future. Good-looking, athletic, smart, funny—the list could go on and on! While all that stuff is good, God is asking us to dig a little deeper. To take our eyes off the things the world sees and instead focus on the things God sees. God’s asking us to look for the things on God’s list—things like honor, truth, integrity, and excellence. Making that our filter for the people we choose to be close to will only help our relationships be better, stronger, and healthier overall.
As you think about the kind of people you want to be in your life, ask God to help you think about qualities that God cares about most. Focus on not just looking for those things in others but also becoming those things in yourself!
