Real Hope: Why Jesus Came to EarthSample

To Do The Father’s Work
I’m often overwhelmed at how much God loves us. His heart is for His people to have freedom and restoration, and He sent His Son to make a way for us.
When Jesus came, He came with a purpose; to do the Father’s work. Jesus knew that the world was broken. He knew that without a Saviour, His people would be destined to live in bondage and darkness. He also knew that without a sacrifice to take on the sin and shame of His people, there would be no freedom.
Jesus took on flesh and came to set the captives free. He came to break the chains of bondage and sin. He came to restore what the enemy had stolen. And He came to offer Himself as a living sacrifice, that all our sin and shame would be taken from us. The Father knew we needed a Saviour, so the Saviour came down.
As we look to Jesus this Christmas, we know we have love, joy, healing, salvation, peace and freedom, all through Him. The baby in the manger came to set us free – and through this Son we are free indeed.
