Stop Hurtful Words
Very few people are murderers. But our unruly tongue and wayward lips can slash others into pieces and destroy their self-worth within seconds. How do we avoid speaking such evil? Exercise self-control – let not our emotional outbursts form our words. Rather, talk with gentle grace and a mild manner.
Prayer: Lord, Grant me the strength of self-control so I will not react so quickly to situations and people’s words. Help me O Lord that what comes out from my mouth will build people up and not tear them down. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
