The Importance Of Heeding Correction
This proverb highlights the importance of heeding correction. A person who again and again defies correction will face a sudden and dire consequence. When the window of opportunity to repent finally closes, probably at death, the incorrigible fool is beyond all hope of receiving healing.
Prayer: Lord, purge me of any hardness of heart. “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” (Ps. 139:23-24). Amen.
