How to Start Talking to Your People About Jesus

DAY 6 OF 7

What Moment Am I In?

Jesus is leading you to people who need His living hope. You are His translator. You know enough for any moment you find yourself in. You’re not adding these moments to your day. They’re already happening. What you and I are figuring out is how to add Jesus to those moments in our day.

If every human is a unique creation of God, then every moment with every human is significant. What you say or don’t say, what you do or don’t do, what truth you confirm or neglect are all crucial to the human heart.

Are you at a medical appointment?

Are you sitting by someone on a bus or plane?

Are you in the classroom?

Christ is at work everywhere. You are the temple of God, so you bring the presence of God wherever you go. If you only see Him in religious settings, you are missing out on 90 percent of His work. Maybe more.

Jesus wants you and me to invite Him into moments. We turn the key of hospitality with one another, and Jesus appears. It was at mealtime, at the table, that two followers recognized the resurrected Jesus. It will be in moments when we are paying attention to culture and are prayerful in spirit that Christ will make His presence known.

You have something to offer in every moment you are in. If you put this truth into practice, you will be translating Jesus on an ongoing basis.

Prayer: God, help me see You in others today. Holy Spirit, speak through me so they see You.
