Chapter 8 introduces the trumpet judgments, which represent God's desire to cleanse and purify the world. This can be seen throughout the entire Book of Revelation. This desire will be revealed more as we continue to study Revelation this week. As you read today, consider the parallels between the Old and New testament. These judgements, although they may seem scary, point to the righteousness of God and his desire for justice!

About this Plan

The apocalypse ("uncovering" in Greek) that John receives reveals the nature of the world as it is and will one day be. Amidst all of the cosmic imagery is a Lamb and its army who conquer through the power of sacrificial love. This 8-week plan is written by the church and for the church as we seek to follow Jesus in the 21st century.
