TheLionWithin.Us: How to Protect Your Mind Sample

Create
In the highly “all about me” world in which we live, consumption is everywhere.
The Lion needs to recognize that he is here to use his mind to create because his God is The Creator. Since you are made in God’s image, it is your responsibility to take this seriously and start looking for areas where you can use your individual creativity to glorify God.
Exodus 35:31-33 is a great example of how God’s people were qualified in different skills and how that translated to many items they could create for God’s glory. Your creation skills may be outside of your “job,” and that is okay. The key is to recognize your responsibility as a Lion to not just be a consumer. Instead, look for ways that you can be a creator for the furthering of the kingdom.
Question to Consider
- What skills do you possess that could be used to further the kingdom starting now?
- How could you pray to find ways to begin creating with what God has gifted you?
- What actions will you commit to today to be the leader God intends you to be?

About this Plan

The mind is powerful and, when harnessed correctly, can be a dangerous adversary to Satan. In today’s world of constant connectivity, your guard must be up. This can be overwhelming, and if you are not paying attention, you could enter a battle you are not prepared to fight. However, God’s Word guides us on ways to protect and sharpen our minds to be effective in the fight against darkness.
