It's All About Love?!Sample

The ultimate love story
“And I will take you for my wife forever; I will take you for my wife in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.”(Hosea 2:19, NRSVUE)
Many people enjoy reading a good love story. Well, the book of Hosea provides the best one ever written. It’s about God’s love for His people.
The Lord God compares Himself to a faithful husband who cares for His wife and provides her with everything she needs. However, His wife prostitutes herself ever again, throwing parties with other men — a shocking example of God's people worshiping other gods.
Many a husband would likely abandon his wife if she were repeatedly unfaithful. But God does the opposite. He says, “I will now allure her and bring her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her” (Hosea 2:14). And then He promises her, “I will take you for my wife forever” (Hosea 2:19). He commits Himself to this woman “in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.” Talk about meaningful marriage vows!
God does not ignore our mistakes. He does discipline His people — to cause them to repent and come back to Him!
The Lord God shows amazing love for us humans. Do you accept His “proposal”? And are you faithful to Him?
