How to Be Courageous in Your FaithSample

Pray
Almighty God, I sometimes get distracted by the challenges in my life. Help me now to focus only on You. Amen.

Listen to the audio or tap forward to read today's passage (1 Samuel 17) then tap back reflect and pray below.
Reflect
David was a shepherd boy, not a warrior. How was David able to muster the courage to face a man in combat whom the entire army of Israel feared? By whose power and authority did David challenge Goliath? David achieves a miraculous victory for Israel without even bringing a sword to the fight. How am I trusting God to help me through the battles I face today?
Respond
When I think that I am weak, I am really strong because I completely rely on you. Help me to stop struggling on my own, and to trust you as Lord and claim your power in my life. Amen.
