Ephesians

DAY 30 OF 30

Paul concludes his letter to the Ephesians by encouraging them to be persistent in prayer. Even though Paul is in prison at this time and his circumstances are far less than ideal, he encourages the city of Ephesus to pray for one another and also for him. He says “I’m in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for Him as I should.” You see, praying for one another challenges us to remain unified as the body of Christ. When we pray, we give all of our difficulties over to God our Creator instead of carrying the weight of our burdens.

As the body of Christ, we are in constant pursuit of unity, not uniformity. So in the spirit of pursuing unity, today I want to encourage you to lift up those close to you in prayer. Take some extra time today to pray over your coworkers, family members, friends, and loved ones, and as we end the book of Ephesians, may we remember that we are one in Christ Jesus.

Prayer Points

  1. Who is someone I can reach out to and encourage today?
  2. Pray for unity over our nation, government leaders, and church leaders.
