DAY 9 OF 40

#TurnAround (Tobias Teichen)

When I want to be on the path with God, construction work is necessary. There are many things on the path of life that are in my way, obstacles that make it almost impossible for me to experience God’s power.

When I read how John the Baptist requests a divine rethinking, I imagine a road roller. It creates a path with its great weight and flattens any bumps on the road. When we invite God into our lives, slowly but surely he wants to dispose of the following in every area of your lives – everything that hinders us.

This can be interpersonal circumstances: conflict, hatred, envy, anger, and rage. Or a lifestyle marked with arrogance, lies, unfriendliness, or sexual lapses.

Through Jesus Christ, God made the path free for a fulfilled life in a personal divine relationship. This is what we celebrate at Easter!

Due to our mistakes and misconducts, sooner or later, we lead ourselves into a dead end, but God gets us out of it, creates peace and forgiveness and through this makes the path of our life flat and free (Isaiah 53:5-6)! He sent Jesus to do this. This is why Jesus died on the cross.

And when Jesus resurrected on the third day from death, this was like a sign from above: I can solve any problem no matter how big it is! If death is no obstacle for me, then I will be able to deal with every other unevenness and obstacle!

Actionstep:

Which areas in your life are you not getting any further? What hinders you? Allow Jesus to enter into this situation and tell him this in your own words – this is called prayer.
