Talking to JesusSample

Jesus demonstrates a massive amount of forgiveness when it comes to restoring Peter in today's passage. Peter had denied Jesus three times before Jesus was crucified, but now Jesus and Peter are back together and instead of Jesus ignoring Peter, Jesus forgives Peter. Jesus brings Peter back and restores him. Jesus, all the way through His life and after His resurrection from the dead, continues to show forgiveness and love. Jesus never stops forgiving and neither should we. Forgiveness is an important part of Christianity because we have been forgiven by Jesus. Jesus has forgiven us, and as people are are following Jesus, we forgive those around us. Whether it seems impossible to forgive someone or super simple, forgiveness needs to constantly happen in our lives. We need to be like Jesus and be willing to restore people in our lives through the act of forgiveness. Today, let's pray that God can make us a people who are constantly working at forgiving others.
