A Biblical Perspective on Death and LifeSample

The Lord Jesus is stronger than death
“… our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light” (2 Timothy 1:10)
Jesus died and was buried, but three days later, He rose again from the dead! He broke the power of death. Therefore, He reveals Himself to John as follows: “I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades” (Revelation 1:17-18).
Jesus' resurrection proves that He has completed His mission. He fulfilled His commission, and God the Father gave His approval to Jesus’ work. Therefore, the Father raised Him and gave Him a glorious place in heaven as a reward for His redemptive work.
Jesus' resurrection also shows that He is stronger than death. As He hung on the cross, onlookers mockingly asked if He was not powerful enough to redeem Himself since He had helped so many others. Jesus could indeed have come down from the cross. But He didn't. Rather, by dying and rising again from the grave, He showed His power and glory all the more clearly, as well as His willingness to love humanity to the end. Jesus knew how hard His agony would be, but He went right through death to bring life and immortality to light.
If Jesus is even stronger than death, wouldn't you be safe with Him?
