Resurrection!Sample

It is telling that it is two women who are said to be the first witnesses of Jesus’ resurrection. At this time, a woman’s testimony was not considered valid in a court of law. The fact that all the accounts record women as the first to see the tomb empty show that it must have been true! It also shows us that things were already changing as part of God’s new creation plan that the resurrection of Jesus had begun. Jesus uses his own resurrection to validate and celebrate the place of women in his kingdom that is open to all.
