5 Daily Words Just for GirlsSample

Enough
Janey was half-listening as she checked off boxes in her head when listening to Ms. Turner read from a chapter in Exodus about the 10 Commandments. As the list was read, she didn’t want a different house, she was far too young for marriage, and no one she knew had servants, oxen, and donkeys. She was in the clear about keeping the 10 Commandments. Ms. Turner stopped reading straight from the Bible and looked at her class. “Class, how many of you think this applies to you?” Almost everyone raised their hand except Janey. The teacher went on.
The Bible lists things that were common for people to desire at the time it was written, like neighbor’s wives, servants, ox or donkeys, etc; and this list is not complete.
It’s very easy for us to look at those around us and desperately want something someone else may have: their phone, their great parents, their talent, or anything at all! Make your own list. God asks us to be content. He is more than enough.
Do you have enough?
