What does it mean to be “poor in spirit”? It doesn’t sound great at first, does it? Well, in God’s Kingdom, being poor in spirit is actually an awesome thing! Because it means we know we can’t do this all on our own. We know we need God’s Spirit to help us get through every part of life. When we acknowledge that we need God’s guidance and wisdom to get us through anything, we’re acknowledging that, without God, we’d remain poor in spirit, but with God, life becomes richer in so many ways!

Today, pray that God will remind you how much you need the guidance and support of God’s Spirit in your life. Embrace being poor in spirit so that you can be rich in faith!
