Wait, Watch, Worship: A Lent DevotionalSample

Worth (from lost to loved)
Friday – 23 days before Easter
John 4:4-26
The Samaritan woman lived a miraculous story. When she first met Jesus she was a lost human being who didn’t know her Creator and Savior. After meeting Jesus, she became a loved woman who’d encountered the living God and was now filled with his truth and presence. We are all invited to enter that storyline, to move from being lost to being loved, from being outcast to being welcomed, from being misguided to being led, from being thirsty to being a bubbling spring of the Spirit’s power and love. Read the story one more time. Will you allow Jesus to move you from lost to loved in whatever way he chooses?

About this Plan

From Ash Wednesday through Easter Sunday, this devotional plan reflects on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, tracing the themes such as wait, wonder, watch, and worship. Each week focuses on a specific Biblical story (Sunday-Friday) and ends with a Psalm (Saturday). Holy Week traces the final scenes and events of Jesus' life, crucifixion, and resurrection.
