Thirty-One Truths: Who We Are in ChristSample

REDEEMED
To redeem is to buy back, to purchase out of some difficulty, or to deliver.
READ: Ephesians 1:7-10
READ: Hebrews 9:11-14
Christ redeemed believers through His death on the cross for their sins, procuring forgiveness for them. Understanding more and more what God has done for us in Christ, our hearts burst forth with thanksgiving and praise. “Thank you, Lord God, for redeeming me!” What are some of the sins that the Lord Jesus has redeemed you out of? What kind of heart and life response should this produce?
WRONG THINKING: The Lord has left me in all of my difficulties. He must not care about me very much.
RIGHT THINKING: The Lord has redeemed me from the worst difficulty I could ever be in—sin that leads to eternal death. I should practice thankfulness as a response.
