Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
Today's scripture reading is incredibly powerful. Jesus taught and promised that His Holy Spirit will come and live inside every loyally committed follower of Jesus.
Think about that! God's Holy Spirit—the Spirit that helps, brings peace, teaches what is true, and points to Jesus and is living inside you! Think about this: this is incredible!
Challenge: As you spend some time meditating on these scriptures, what truth does the Holy Spirit illuminate?
Prayer: Father, thank you. Thank you that Your Spirit dwells in me. Thank you that Your Spirit brings me peace. Thank you that You teach me what is true and what is false. Thank you that Jesus is the Son of God, risen from the dead, seated on Your right hand, and praying for me. Father, thank you. Grant me Your grace to yield to Your Holy Spirit so that Your will is accomplished in my life as it is in heaven.
