Have you ever thought about what you want to be known for or the kind of person you want to be?
I don’t know about you, but if I got to choose how I wanted people to remember me, I would want them to remember me for being kind and someone with good character. When we choose to put who we are as followers of Jesus before what we’re good at or what we want in life, people will see Jesus in us, and chances are, they want that too.
One of the ways we can work on building good character is by spending time with God and reading God’s Word. The book of Proverbs teaches us how to treat one another, how to treat ourselves, and most importantly, how to be more like Jesus. When you spend time with God, you can share with others what God has given to you and hopefully inspire someone else to live for God in the same way.
Today, think about one character trait you want to be known for. Then, ask God to help you use wisdom in making decisions and treat others to help you be known for that thing!
