Real Hope: Back to Basics - Heaven & EarthSample

God With Us
Heaven is ‘up there,’ and earth is ‘here.’ God is ‘there,’ and we are ‘here.’
We have many images of God being in heaven, but we don’t really know. He’s not standing at a beautiful set of pearly gates, checking off our rights and wrongs and deciding whether we should be let in. He’s not sitting on a cloud, looking down and deciding what to do next.
But what is heaven? Where is it? None of us know what it will actually be like, but it will be with God. Perfect, right, glorious, wonderful. We will all see it when we see Jesus’ return, and we will know what God is like, really like, and how glorious that will be.
Heaven is God with us and us with Him. We will be complete, no longer pushed by the ways and days of earth, free of worry, doubt, anxiety, and fully perfect. This is how we were created to be - in a perfect relationship with our loving Lord and creator.
Thank you, loving Lord, that there will come a time when you will return, and we will meet you face to face and spend eternity in a perfect relationship with you. How wonderful that will be. Come, Lord Jesus, come. Amen.
