Putting a name to emotion can sometimes be challenging. A feeling isn't always as clean-cut as "mad" or "sad." It can be a mixture of emotions you're dealing with, or it could be your first time feeling something, and you don't know how to describe it. If it's hard for you to identify your feelings, it's probably just as hard telling someone else.
In moments of confusion, we have someone who knows exactly what we're feeling. God comforts us when we're hurting, no matter how "valid" it feels. We don't have to come to God with an elaborate explanation. When we pray, we don't have to make sense. We don't even have to talk all the time. God isn't as complicated as we may think. With God, we can be our most vulnerable selves.
Is anything holding you back from coming to God with your most vulnerable feelings?

About this Plan

Apologies — they’re hard to give, but they’re sometimes hard to receive, too. When you’re the one who has hurt someone else, saying you’re sorry (and actually meaning it) takes work and practice. But when you’re the one who’s been hurt by someone else, things get even more complicated. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll unpack apologies and forgiveness.
