The holiday season is full of opportunities to serve others, but when the toy drives are over, and the soup kitchens finish up this holiday season — people are still in need. How can we be all in when the photo opp is over?
In today's passage, we discover that Jesus confronted people who were all about the idea of serving others but, when presented with the reality of what it means, decided not to help those in need. Serving others means living a life where you ask, "how can I help someone today?" whether it be a stranger, friend, or family. Jesus set the example. He took a moment to recognize the "least of these" and challenged his disciples — and us — to do the same.
Think about the people in your life, the people who you haven't even met. How can you be in a mindset to serve others no matter who they are?

About this Plan

It wouldn’t be Christmas without angels! You’ll find them everywhere this Christmas season. They’re on Christmas trees, ornaments, greeting cards, carols, movies, and nativity sets. They’re all over the pages of Scripture, too. That’s because angels played an important role in the very first Christmas. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll discover why angels were and still are so important in the Christmas story.
