Day Three: Teach With Your Life

Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity.

In his letter to Timothy, Paul didn’t just encourage Timothy; he told him exactly how to influence culture in 1 Timothy 4:12.

We have a saying inside Elevation YTH: Teach with your life. The best sermons aren’t preached from a stage — they’re lived out in what you do day-to-day. Did you know the way you choose to live sends a message? You teach with your life by loving those people who are hard to love. You teach with your life when you choose what is right over what’s easy.

You can’t teach a good message without God’s help, so the best place to start is with God’s Word. Start small and commit to memorizing one verse a month. The more you get into God’s Word, the more God’s words will get into you and change the way you act and treat others.

We know middle school can be scary. You’re growing up, but not quite grown. You’re too big for the playground, but not old enough to drive. You’re literally in the middle of a brand new season of your life! But remember, you can make a difference right now, right where you are! There are people in your middle school who need the hope you have. So take a big breath. Seriously. Do it with us. Inhale… Now, exhale. God’s got you, and this is only the beginning of all He wants to do through YOU.
