I love the response Jesus gave the Samaritan woman when she asked the disqualification question, “Why are you asking me?” What is interesting to note is that Jesus doesn’t answer her question; instead, he focuses on revealing who He is, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to.”

- who has a plan for you
- who has a gift for you
- who will never leave nor forsake you
- who loves you so much he died for you then
When we begin to know the truth about how much God is for us and the promises He has for us, we will automatically start to live out a new story. The truth will set you free to live in the fullness of God’s plans for you because knowing that God is 100% sold out for you means you don’t ever have to fear what is against you.
Living in Johannesburg, South Africa, means you get to experience the most insane electrical thunderstorms in the summer. When my husband is home and a storm hits, my kids and I find ourselves intentionally watching the storm as we feel confident, knowing that if lightning strikes, he is home and can fix anything. However, when he travels away, you will find us all, including the dog and cat, under the bed with a lot more anxiety, praying we don’t get struck. No different from living a life with Jesus in your heart. Your experience of any storm in life changes when you know who is in the boat with you. Aligning your heart and mind to this truth will lay the foundation for your confidence in living fully engaged in all God has planned for you.
