All through the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) we see Jesus teaching His disciples how to do what He did. He gave them authority in His Name. After Jesus had ascended to heaven, His disciples did just as He had taught them. When they prayed for the sick to be healed, they did so ‘in Jesus’ name’. It was the NAME of Jesus that made the difference.

Peter and John were passing by a sick man on the way into the city and he was healed! It was the authority in the name of Jesus that held the power to cure this man. What a powerful name it is— it’s the most important and powerful name the world has ever known! The best part is, we can call on His name at any time, day or night, good times or bad. We are calling on the most powerful name, and when we do, we know we have Jesus on our side, the name above any other name. I believe in the power of Jesus’ name.
