Staying Encouraged
Many have often stood in the face of defeat, wondering where it all went wrong or how things ended up the way they did. It can be easy to become discouraged in those moments and give up everything you have worked so hard for.
We can often find ourselves in moments like this in our faith. Maybe you thought you could be different and change your relationship with God, but suddenly life took a turn you didn’t think it would. Maybe it is harder than you thought it would be to share your faith with your family or friends. Whatever the case, you would rather throw it all away and go back to the way things used to be.
When you are surrounded by trouble,
When you don’t understand,
When you feel abandoned,
When you get knocked down,
Be encouraged, and stand your ground.
Even when it would be easier to throw it all away, yes, even then, we don’t give up. Instead, we press forward, remembering that these moments are only temporary. We don’t look at the trouble around us but fix our eyes on the hope that Jesus offers us. Even when things don’t go as planned, we can be encouraged that God will not leave us to be crushed, abandoned, or destroyed.
THINK ABOUT IT! Was there a time in your life when things did not go as planned?
REFLECT! How can God turn the situation around for good?
PRAY! Father, help me stay encouraged even when things don’t go the way I thought they would. Even when I get knocked down, help me remember that You will always be there to pick me up again.
