Proverbs paints for us a portrait of what sin is and what sin does. Proverbs reveals the pleasure of sin, the seductiveness of sin, the destruction of sin, the addiction of sin, the consequences of sin, and the blindness of sin. And as we consider these descriptive warnings from Proverbs, we realize that we have been given such a grace in these passages because we see sin for what it actually is, and we are warned to run away.
