Daily Bible Reading, July 2022: God’s Renewing Word of FaithSample

July 2
Introduction
The LORD gives Moses final instructions and foretells that Israel will become unfaithful. Moses charges the Levitical priests with custodial responsibility for the book of God’s Law.
Scripture Reading
Deuteronomy 31:14-29
Today’s Key Verse: Deuteronomy 31:26
[Moses said to the priests:] “Take this book of God’s Law and place it beside the Covenant Box of the LORD your God, so that it will remain there as a witness against his people.”
Reflect
How is Israel’s future described in verses 16-21? What do these verses teach you about God? (The song mentioned in verse 19 will be part of the readings the next two days.) In verse 23, what assurance is given to Joshua? (Similar assurance is given in Joshua 1:5-9.) In what ways do you experience the assurance of God’s faithfulness?
Pray
Almighty God, you are faithful and true, and you always do what is right and fair. May I obey your teachings each day and remember to praise you and speak of your greatness. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Deuteronomy 31:30—32:27: Moses recites a song to all the people of Israel.
