When you decide to honor and fear the Lord, it sets the rest of your life in order. The book of Proverbs teaches us that trusting the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). The words hope and trust are strongly linked. When I put my trust and hope in the Lord, I will live with a greater sense of peace and mercy in my life. The end of this verse is where all the confidence lies: “his unfailing love.” God’s love is eternal, never-ending, and unfailing. Even if I fail, He won’t.
