No Storm Too Strong
In Mark 5, Jesus cast an impure spirit out of a deranged man who had been living among the tombs and cutting himself with stones. People had given up on him; he was beyond their helping or controlling, but God hadn’t given up on him. Afterward, it says, “The people saw the man sitting, fully clothed and in his right mind.” What’s interesting is that on the previous night when Jesus was on the boat and headed toward that man, the huge storm that arose wasn’t just a random act of nature. It was the enemy trying to stop Jesus. This man still had greatness in him, and Jesus was determined to restore him.
Remember that the storms the enemy sends to stop your future can’t withstand God’s rebuke and “Peace, be still!” The storm around you may be darker than ever, but there’s no storm so strong that He can’t calm. God is fighting for you, pushing through forces of darkness, calming the storms, and crossing lakes just to get to you, so you will fulfill your destiny.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for rebuking the storms that are sent to stop my future and for coming to me when I couldn’t come to You. Thank You for freeing and delivering me from what I could not free myself from. I believe that You never stop crossing lakes for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
