Year of the Bible: Part Four of Twelve Sample

A Prophet Like Moses.
The promise continues. From the seed of the Woman, through the seed of Abraham, and now a Moses-like Prophet. God's plan to bring humankind back into a relationship with Him continues.
God said, "I will raise a Prophet, I will put my words in his mouth, he will speak what I command him." Peter's first sermon on Pentecost highlighted Jesus as this promised Prophet.
Jesus was raised up, and Jesus spoke God's Word. It is to the words of Jesus that each will be held accountable. Life everlasting is the reward to those who receive Jesus, and separation from God forever is the reward to those who Him and His word.
Question: How do you want to respond to the Word of God concerning Moses's prophecy?
Prayer Focus: Ask the Lord to grant you an understanding of the words of these scriptures. Seek knowledge of how God would have you respond to the wisdom He gives.
