The Creator in YouSample

Yesterday, we saw that our God is a God who creates! But today, we’ve got to make one thing clear: God is unlike us. He is holy and all-powerful. And because of that, he creates in ways that are totally different from the way we make things today.

Genesis 1:24 tells us that “God said, ‘Let the earth produce every sort of animal…And that is what happened.” He spoke. That’s all. And bam! The animals and stars, mountains and oceans were there.

As I say in my children’s book, The Creator in You, “With just a few words, [God] made creatures appear, like polar bears, penguins, alpacas, and deer.”

Do you think if you yelled “polar bear” or “penguin” one would magically show up? Of course not! Because that kind of creation can only be done by almighty God.

When you create a piece of art, you start with paper and paint that were given to you. When grownups make something at work, they start with a tool or a computer. Nobody creates out of nothing. Nobody except God.

So when you see God’s creation today, worship him and be amazed at the awesomeness of our Creator God!
