If you’ve ever gone to a computer tech to troubleshoot your phone or computer, invariably the first thing they will ask you to do is to restart the machine. A restart can sort out 80% of your tech issues! The declaration at the beginning of this song is a little similar to a restart - the daily issues and challenges we face begin to fade away if we will choose to look to our God and declare “The Lord reigns!” Acknowledging that despite the junk of this world, our God sits on the throne allows everything we face to take it’s proper place…and that place is under His throne! The earth melts like wax before the Lord of the earth! In the middle of this amazing Psalm of worship we see a few other eternal truths calling to us.

GO DEEP: Vs 6: Who gets to see God's glory? It is everywhere! It fills the heavens! Echoed throughout the Bible is the eternal truth that the whole earth is filled with His glory - no one can deny it!
Vs 10: Those who love the Lord are called to hate evil! Great danger surrounds sin. It’s described as a roaring lion looking for those to devour. Too many have been shipwrecked by skirting around the edges of sin, flirting with it when they should be fleeing from it. To fear God is the beginning of wisdom, and running from evil is understanding.
Vs 11: What is found on God's paths? Do you need light for your path? Wisdom for your next steps? Joy to fill your heart? Light and joy only come from our Father in heaven. Does anyone around you need light and joy? Let them know where it can be found!
