A Simple Rule: 40-Day Prayer JourneySample

A simple rule
Father, these three injunctions are Your will for me. Please help me build them into the rhythm of my life.
The Rule developed by St. Benedict has 73 chapters, in which he details the daily patterns and spiritual practices Benedictine monks are to adopt. We will focus on a much simpler ‘rule’. A rule is meant to be a spur to growth – like a stake used to hold up a plant. Paul gives the Thessalonians three key ‘supports’ for their Christian life: rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.
