The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for TeensSample

Prayer
This week’s theme was mercy and how you accept God’s mercy.
All of us need mercy, and mercy is freely available to us all as a gift. When we accept the gift of mercy, we can also give it. To be merciful, we need to look past our own needs and pay attention to the needs of others. God’s mercies are new every morning. Every morning it can heal us, free us and forgive us.
Reflect by answering the questions:
- Ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of what you learned this week.
- Read Matt 5:7 and look at the notes you made.
- Speak to God about what you felt this week.
- Where did you experience God’s presence?
- How are you invited to be merciful? (share this with a friend)

About this Plan

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
