Praying the Scripture Through LentSample

Praying the Scripture Through Lent

DAY 38 OF 40

My Life

How much do you love God? The answer is seen in how you love people. The more you love God, the more you can love people since the one will overflow to the other. It’s not easy to love anyone, but it is possible if we keep dying to our need for self-preservation and self-promotion to go the extra mile.

Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.

John 14:23 ESV
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
John 15:16-17 NLT
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. 17 This is my command: Love each other.
Matthew 10:38 AMP
And he who does not take his [a]cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me] is not worthy of Me.
