52 Bible Verses to Teach Your KidsSample

In today’s verse, Jesus is teaching His disciples to pray, so we can also learn from it as His disciples today. First, you’ll notice Jesus shows them to address God more personally as Father. Then He shows us to not just pray about what we want but also about God’s kingdom. Be intentional to pray for God’s will to be done in your city and nation, then focus on talking to God about your needs. He wants to hear and provide. Jesus shows us how important it is to forgive others and to invite God to help us fight temptation.
QUESTIONS
What’s something you need God to do for you? Did you pray about it? Is there anyone you need to forgive?
CONFESSION
I will pray with confidence, knowing my Father in heaven hears me. God hears and responds to my prayers. I will pray for God’s will to be done in my city.

About this Plan

Each of these 52 Bible verses is formative to our understanding of God, the world, and our lives. Read the devotional with your child. Ask them the question and have them read the confession out loud. If they are old enough, they can read it, but they can help them understand the verse and how it applies to their lives.
