52 Bible Verses to Teach Your KidsSample

Forgiving someone who wronged you can often feel like something they must earn or deserve, but Jesus calls us to radical forgiveness, showing grace towards others even when they don’t deserve it. Our command to forgive is based on Jesus forgiving us, not on whether others apologize for what they did to us. Since Jesus forgave you, then you must also show mercy. Begin to pray for those who have hurt you and keep forgiving and showing grace to them.
QUESTIONS
What are ways we can show kindness to others? Is there anyone you need to forgive?
CONFESSION
I am thankful for the mercy of God, who forgave my sin. I choose to forgive those who have wronged me.

About this Plan

Each of these 52 Bible verses is formative to our understanding of God, the world, and our lives. Read the devotional with your child. Ask them the question and have them read the confession out loud. If they are old enough, they can read it, but they can help them understand the verse and how it applies to their lives.
