Bible in a YearSample

For once, Haggai tells the story of a time the Israelites actually listened to a prophet. Imagine that!
-Haggai is teamed with Zechariah biblically like Ezra is with Nehemiah. The books of Ezra & Nehemiah provide the historical and political information for post-exilic Israel while the books of Haggai & Zechariah are context for the spiritual and priestly matters in post-exilic Israel.
-Unlike all of the pre-exilic prophets, the people actually listen to Haggai as he directs them to rebuild the temple and commit themselves to repentance and obedience.
