Bible in a YearSample

Isaiah begins the prophetic section of the Old Testament, as every book until the end of the OT is prophetic.
-Isaiah is canonically the first of the five major prophets of the Old Testament (Isaiah-Daniel).
-The prophet Isaiah lived in the Kingdom of Judah in the final years before the Jewish exile to Babylon. He spent his many decades in ministry warning of this exile and the impending judgement of God.
-This book is called the Gospel of the Old Testament as it contains a tremendous amount of prophecy about the life of Jesus Christ and messianic language.
